My name is Rob, and I’m a miniature painter and model maker from the South of England.
Since I was very small I enjoyed making things. Like a lot of kids I painted my share of Warhammer figures and, like a lot of kids, I fell out of the habit as I got older. Skip forward about 15 years and a guy from work bought the Imperial Assault starter set. I offered (entirely selflessly…) to paint up the figures for him. Around the same time some friends were getting back in to Warhammer, so I picked up a few models (the Deathwatch Start Collecting set, if anyone is interested). I started posting on Instagram, and there found Jo from encounterterrain and his monthly terrain competitions and I haven’t looked back.
Getting back into painting and creating things has been incredibly therapeutic. It’s a really exciting time to get back into miniatures with a ton of new companies putting out some amazing models. There’s a vast array of resources available to people looking to make terrain and props for Dungeons and Dragons (yes, I’m into that too). I’ve even written a couple of such tutorials.
